Call for paper

The Geneva School of Business Administration (HEG-GE_Switzerland), in partnership with the School of Information Science (ESI_Morocco), the École nationale des chartes (ENC_France), and the Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi (SUAD_United Arab Emirates), is pleased to announce the call for papers for the second edition of the international conference on Digital Humanities (CIHN’24). This edition takes place over two days: the first in person and the second will be online.

For this second edition, the conference will focus on new technologies and digital transitions in the context of the valorization of data from heritage institutions. CIHN’24 will focus on innovative initiatives and projects in the field of GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums). Emphasis will also be placed on the contributions and challenges of using artificial intelligence (AI) and big data technologies for the processing, visualization, and valorization of data. These technologies have the potential to revolutionize the field of cultural heritage. The use of these new tools has a decisive impact on the field of cultural heritage. They can be used to improve conservation, research, dissemination, and accessibility, while also facilitating the sustainable management of data and reducing environmental impact.

This meeting will be an opportunity to exchange ideas on the new developments in digital computational humanities, more specifically the benefits and challenges of using AI and big data technologies in the field of cultural heritage, particularly in GLAM.
